Dashpot System

Check vacuum line for leaks, blockage or a disconnected hose. Disconnect vacuum hose from dashpot, and connect a vacuum pump to it. Apply vacuum and check that vacuum goes out slowly. If vacuum holds or goes out rapidly, replace dashpot check valve and re-test. Connect a vacuum pump to the dashpot diaphragm. Apply vacuum and check that rod pulls in and vacuum holds. If vacuum does not hold or rod does not move, replace dashpot diaphragm and re-test.
