Bleeding Brake System
NOTE:
DO NOT depress brake pedal while bleeding brake system.
- Place vehicle on level ground. Place transmission in "P" (automatic) or "N" (manual). Block wheels. Fill master cylinder with brake fluid. Install ABS tester to 6-pin connector. Start engine. Release parking brake. Turn mode selector to "1". Press "START TEST" button. Ensure motor starts to operates and then stops.
- Turn mode selector to "2". Press "START TEST" button. Wait until fluid in reservoir is air free (approximately 70 seconds). Turn mode selector to "6". Press "START TEST" button. Wait until fluid in reservoir is air free (approximately 70 seconds). Perform this test 2 or 3 times. Fill modulator reservoir. Check system using ABS tester.
