Diagnosis & Testing: Testing: Notes

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect ABS Tester (07HAJ-SG00100) to 6-pin test connector, located under front passenger seat. Start engine. Release parking brake. Place mode selector to "1". Push start test button. See Fig 1 . Test-in-progress light should come on. Within 1-2 seconds, 4 monitor lights should come on. If tester lights do not illuminate, ABS tester is faulty.

  2. If ANTI-LOCK light comes on, ABS tester harness is faulty. Turn mode selector to "2". Depress brake pedal. Push start test button. ANTI-LOCK warning light should not come on and kickback should be felt in brake pedal.
  3. If light comes on or kickback is not felt, see ANTI-LOCK WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON  in this article. Place mode selector in "3", "4", "5" then "6". Repeat step 2) for each test mode.
