Rear Lock Position Switch Test

CAUTION: When the motor stops running, disconnect the battery terminal immediately.
  1. Remove the quarter trim panel or center pillar lower trim panel. See FRONT SEAT BELT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Disconnect the 2-pin connector from the shoulder buckle motor and the 4-pin connector from the rear lock position switch. See Fig 1 .
  3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each buckle position. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 .
  4. When a battery is connected to terminals No. 1 and 2, the shoulder buckle motor will run. Consequently, the shoulder buckle will move back and forth. See SHOULDER BUCKLE MOTOR TEST  .
