Brush Test

Check brush length. If length is not within specification, replace brushes. See appropriate table under STARTER SPECIFICATIONS . If brushes are replaced, wrap No. 600 sandpaper around commutator. Rotate commutator across face of brushes to seat new starter brush assemblies.
