Preliminary Checks

  1. Ensure dome and trunk light bulbs are okay. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Remove instrument cluster from instrument panel. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Disconnect instrument cluster Blue 16-pin "A" and "B" connectors and Blue 13-pin "C" connector. Check for bent, corroded, loose or disconnected terminals in connectors. Repair connectors as necessary and recheck system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.
