Safety Indicator Unit Input Test
Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. Remove instrument cluster from instrument panel. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster 22-pin "B" connector. Check for bent, corroded, loose or disconnected terminals in connector. Repair connectors as necessary and recheck system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If all safety indicator input tests are okay, replace instrument cluster printed circuit board. See Fig 1 .
