2.3CL & 3.0CL: Defogger
- Connect a jumper wire between 2-pin connector terminal No. 11 (Orange wire) and terminal No. 12 (Yellow/Black wire). See Fig 1. Connect DVOM between 2-pin connector terminal No. 11 (Orange wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. Battery voltage should exist and both mirrors should heat up. If battery voltage does not exist and neither mirror heats up, go to next step. If only one mirror heats up, replace faulty defogger. If both mirrors fail to heat up, check defogger switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST under COMPONENT TESTS.
- Check for an open in Yellow/Black wire and Orange wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Check for blown No. 7 (7.5-amp) fuse in underhood fuse/relay box. Check for poor ground connection. Repair as necessary.
