Pressure Testing: Notes
WARNING:
- While testing, be careful of the rotating front wheels.
- Make sure lifts, jacks, and safety stands are placed properly (see LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ).
CAUTION:
- Before testing, be sure the transmission fluid is filled to the proper level.
- Warm up the engine before testing.
- Set the parking brake, and block both rear wheels securely.
- Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands (see LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ).
- Warm up the engine, then stop the engine and connect a tachometer.
- Connect the oil pressure gauges to each inspection hole.
TORQUE: 18 N.m (1.8 kgf.m, 13 lbf.ft)
CAUTION: Connect the oil pressure gauges securely; be sure not to allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the inspection holes.NOTE: the A/T Oil Pressure Gauge Set (07406 - 0020003) or A/T Low Pressure Gauge (07406 - 0070000) may also be used. - Measure the following pressure:
- Line Pressure: LINE PRESSURE/1ST CLUTCH PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
- 1st Clutch Pressure: LINE PRESSURE/1ST CLUTCH PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
- 2nd, 3rd and 4th Clutch Pressure: 2ND, 3RD AND 4TH CLUTCH PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
- Install a new washer and the sealing bolt in the inspection hole, and tighten to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 18 N.m (1.8 kgf.m, 13 lbf.ft)
NOTE: Do not reuse old sealing washers.
