Lateral Acceleration Sensor Inspection
NOTE:
- Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
- Do not use an impact wrench.
- For an accurate reading, the vehicle must be level.
- Remove the center console panel.
- Remove the lateral acceleration sensor (A) from the left lower side with the connector connected.
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- Measure the voltage between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.
- When the connector side is level, the voltage is about 2.5 V.
- When the connector side is facing up, the voltage is about 3.5 V.
- When the connector side is facing down, the voltage is about 1.5 V.
- If the voltage is not as specified, replace the lateral acceleration sensor.
- After replacing the lateral acceleration sensor, do the neutral position memorization. See Neutral Position Memorization .
