Bench Testing: Rotor

Ensure rotor bearings rotate smoothly. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between slip rings and rotor. Check continuity between slip rings and rotor shaft. See Fig 1 . If continuity exists, replace rotor. Check for continuity between slip rings. Replace rotor if continuity does not exist.
