Testing Procedure

When the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) has been reported on, this indicates a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored in the ECM memory. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  .

If ECM has been replaced as part of a diagnostic or repair procedure, the immobilizer code will need to be rewritten. See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM  .
