VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization: Procedure
NOTICE:
The VSA sensor neutral position must be learned whenever you do any of these actions:
- Updating or replacing the VSA modulator-control unit.
- Removing the steering wheel.
- Disconnecting the steering joint.
- Wheel alignment adjustment.
- Updating or replacing the SRS unit.

Preconditions
- Do a wheel alignment
.NOTE:
- Keep the vehicle on the alignment rack even after adjustment and make sure the turning pads are locked.
- Remove the steering wheel holder and make sure the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position.
- HDS Connected
Procedure
NOTICE:
Do not press the brake pedal during this procedure.
- Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.
- ABS/VSA (System Selection Menu)
- ADJUSTMENT
- ALL SENSORNOTE: At the final step when returning the steering wheel to the center position, make sure to turn the wheel until the total toe on the alignment reading reaches zero.
- Test drive the vehicle with minimal road crown and make sure the vehicle tracks straight with the steering wheel point straight ahead with little to no resistance.
- Do a wheel alignment
