PCM Update: Procedure

How to use this service information .

1. PCM - Update

   Preconditions 

   • Engine Cooled Down

     NOTICE: 

     High temperatures in the engine compartment might cause the PCM to become too hot to run the update. If the engine has been running before this procedure, open the hood and cool the engine compartment.

   • HDS Connected

   Procedure 

   • Update the PCM.

   NOTICE: 

   Refer to "Manual to update Control unit" for more information about updating control units.

   Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.

   • Related applications
   • Announcement about HDS
   • Manual to update Control unit
   NOTE:

   • About ECU Reprogramming (Update)
   • If there are other control unit that need to be updated, they will be automatically selected on the update screen and cannot be deselected.
   • Before updating, check the work information of each control unit.

   After Updating 

   1. PCM Idle Learning 

   2. CKP Pattern Clearing/Learning
