Ignition System: Description

A Bosch EZ-L digital electronic ignition system with vacuum advance is used on V6 engines. Ignition advance is controlled by an ignition Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU receives signals from the fuel injection system, distributor and coolant temperature switch. The distributor contains a pulse generator which signals the ECU. Timing can be adjusted by turning distributor.
