Timing Advance Test

Perform KNOCK SENSOR TEST . If knock sensor circuit is okay, check engine idle speed and timing. Adjust if necessary. With engine running, pull off White vacuum hose from intake manifold. Plug manifold connection. Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM. Check that timing is 20-24° BTDC. If timing is incorrect, Hall control unit is defective.
