Vehicle, lifting: Notes

WARNING:
  • When the vehicle is raised, never start the engine or engage a gear as long as any wheel is touching the ground.
  • If it is necessary to work underneath the vehicle, it must be supported properly.
CAUTION:
  • The vehicle may only be lifted at the points shown in the illustrations in order to prevent damaging the floor of the vehicle and to prevent the vehicle from tipping.
  • The vehicle should NEVER be lifted by the engine oil pan, the transmission, or the front or rear subframes. Otherwise major damage may be caused.
