Chip Card Reader Control Module, Removing And Installing: Notes

The Chip Card Reader Control Module -J676- is located in the glove compartment, ER5.

If the Chip Card Reader Control Module - J676- is replaced, the following procedure applies:

-- Connecting and switching on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Select and start the Diagnostic  operating mode.

-- Select the Test plan  tab.

-- Select the Select individual test  button and select the following tree structure consecutively:

• Diagnostic-capable systems
• 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794 (MIB 2+) or 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794 (MIB 3)
• 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1, functions
• 0642 - Chip Card Reader Control Module -J676 replacing

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
