NOTE:
M Coupe, M Roadster and Z3 instrument cluster has on-board diagnostic capabilities. Testing for all other models requires BMW Service Tester (Sun 2013 Engine Analyzer) and applicable BMW diagnostic software. Tester permits technician to activate components and monitor systems.
