With fast and slow idle screws backed out and primary throttle valves tightly closed, loosen choke modifier lock screw and rotate index pointer counterclockwise from free position until thermostat spring begins to close choke valve. Continue counterclockwise until pointer lines up with index position on thermostat cover.
