Accessing BCM Trouble Codes: Notes

  1. Turn ignition on. Select "Climate" screen by pressing button in upper right-hand corner of GCC. Press "OFF" and "WARM" buttons simultaneously until "SERVICE MODE" appears on screen. "ECM?" should appear on screen. If you want any ECM code, press "YES" button.
  2. ECM codes will appear with "E" preceding test number code. If ECM codes are not wanted, press "NO". "BCM?" should then appear on screen. Press "YES" button. If no BCM codes are present, "NO BCM CODES" will appear. If there are BCM codes, "BCM INPUTS?" will appear.
  3. Press "YES" button. BCM codes should appear. BCM codes will appear with "B" preceding test number code. "HI" or "LO" will appear. "HI" refers to 12 volts on input circuit. "LO" refers to zero volts on input circuit.
  4. An "O" or "X" will also appear in code. "O" means there has been no change in system since last time BCM codes were checked. "X" indicates there has been a change. Press "YES" again to check next code. Press "NO" to go to previous code. To exit codes, press "END" button.
