Low Oil Level Sensor Input Test

  1. If CHECK OIL LEVEL indicator illuminates for 20-40 seconds and oil level is okay, check wires between low oil level sensor and oil level module for open or short to ground. If wires are okay, replace oil level module. If problem is still present, replace low oil level sensor.
  2. If CHECK OIL LEVEL indicator does not illuminate regardless of oil level, disconnect oil level sensor. Wait 8 minutes with ignition switch in OFF or LOCK position. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If CHECK OIL LEVEL indicator illuminates for 20-40 seconds, replace low oil level sensor. If indicator does not illuminate as specified, replace oil level module.
