Remote Keyless Entry Lock/Unlock Isolation Test

  1. Connect Tech 1 scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Command Tech 1 to unlock left front door. If door does not unlock, see LEFT FRONT DOOR ISOLATION RELAY TEST  . If door unlocks, command Tech 1 to unlock all doors. If all doors do not unlock, see REMOTE DOOR LOCKING TEST  .
  2. If all doors unlock, set Tech 1 to RAC data list function. Select TRANSMITTER 1 and TRANSMITTER 2. Press all transmitter buttons. If Tech 1 recognizes all buttons, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module.
  3. If Tech 1 recognizes some but not all buttons, repeat test using second transmitter supplied with vehicle. If Tech 1 continues to recognize some but not all buttons, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module. If Tech 1 recognizes all buttons, replace transmitter. See PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE  .
