Code 82 - Calibration Malfunction: Notes
This test allows EBCM/EBTCM to check for a calibration failure by comparing calibration value to a known value stored in EEPROM. This test is also used to prevent incorrect use of calibrations or changes to calibrations that may alter designed function of ABS.
Code 82 can set at key up if program identifier is incorrect or memory checksum is incorrect. Code will be stored, ABS/VES will be disabled and ABS warning light illuminated.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart. Use only 10-megohm (minimum) DVOM for all voltage and resistance tests. For identification of circuits and terminals referenced in charts and text, see WIRING DIAGRAM
.
- Checks if malfunction is present during diagnosis. If malfunction is present, replace EBCM/EBTCM.
