Remote Control Door Lock Reprogramming

Connect scan tool.
Turn ignition ON.
Select Diagnostics F0.
Select model year (MY).
Select vehicle type.
Select system F1 body.
Select GM product line, G.
Select nameplate, Buick/Oldsmobile.
Select Remote Function Actuator F0.
Select special functions F2.
Select set options F1.
- Follow screen prompts and instructions.
- Use the EXIT key in order to change from one function screen to another.
- Do not use the YES or NO keys. Pressing YES or NO may disable other features.
Scroll through the screens until the screen displays the desired function. Select YES on each function that needs to be enabled for the particular vehicle RPO.
- Use the RPO chart and select the functions that are standard or optional for the particular vehicle being serviced. Failure to program the RFA module properly may cause the system to malfunction. A malfunction may cause misdiagnosis and customer complaints.
- When selecting the functions on a new RFA module on a vehicle that has Theft deterrent UA6, go to option 3 on the scan tool.
- Speed Up will appear as your only selection.
- Select Deactivate.
- Save the options.
- Exit the system.
Exit the system.
Disconnect the scan tool.
