Installation Procedure

  1. Install tool J 39363 onto actuator.
    2. IMPORTANT: When installing the bypass valve actuator to the supercharger, be sure to rotate the assembly until the bypass valve shaft lever comes in contact with the stop block.
  2. Rotate the actuator until the rod engages the lever.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bypass valve actuator mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Remove J 39363 .
  5. Install the boost control solenoid. Refer to Boost Control Solenoid Replacement .
  6. Connect the vacuum hoses to the bypass valve actuator.
  7. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L36) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L67) in Engine Mechanical.
