Fuel Tank Protector Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the underbody rear air deflector right side. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side
2. Remove the underbody rear air deflector left side. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Left Side
3. Remove the exhaust muffler. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (Single) , Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LFX)
4. Support the fuel tank with jack stands.
5. Remove the left fuel tank strap. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
NOTE:

Loosen the right fuel tank strap and lower the fuel tank just enough to disengage the left shield retainer.

6. Disengage shield retainers.
