Installation Procedure

  1. Install the parking brake cable (2) to the electronic parking brake control module (3).
  2. Install the parking brake cable connection cover (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the electronic parking brake control module (2) to the vehicle.
  4. Insert the electronic parking brake control module mounting tang into the rubber mounting grommet (3).
  5. Install the 2 electronic parking brake control module nuts (1), and tighten to 9 (80 lb in).
  6. Connect the electronic parking brake control module wiring harness.
  7. Install the wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
  8. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  11. Program the electronic parking brake control module. Refer to Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Programming and Setup .
