Installation Procedure

  1. Lay the generator (2) in a suitable position at the suspension frame.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Position the generator to the engine.
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the 3 generator bolts (1, 3) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the generator positive cable (2) and the generator positive cable nut (1) and tighten to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in).
  6. Connect the generator wiring harness plug (3).
  7. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  8. If equipped, install the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .

  9. Position the rear engine lift bracket (1).
  10. Install the 2 rear engine lift bracket bolts (2) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  11. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
