Convertible Top Controls: Description

General Motors convertible body styles have an inward folding top. Operation of top is controlled by an electric switch on instrument panel. Top is powered by a reversible electric motor and gear reduction unit. The motor and gear reduction unit drive two cables which operate each actuator. Each top actuator contains an integral gear reduction unit with a sector gear and lever for hinge movement.
