Rap System Check

Try the following checks before doing the System Check:

  1. Check fuse 9 by operating the Radio.
  2. If both Power Windows and Trunk Lid Release do not operate with RAP circuits activated, check Circuit Breaker 21.
  3. If Trunk Lid Release does not operate, check Fuse 16.
  4. If Radio does not operate, check Fuse 7.
  5. If Wipers do not operate, check Fuse 6.
Use RAP system check as a guide to normal operation. See RAP SYSTEM CHECK  table. For a list of symptoms and diagnostic steps, refer to SYSTEM TESTS  . When a result is not normal, repair by symptom. See RAP SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEMS TESTS.

RAP SYSTEM CHECK

Action Normal Result
With All Doors Closed, Turn Ignition Switch To RUN, Then To LOCK & Remove Key Power Windows, Trunk Lid Release, Radio & Wipers Are Powered For Ten Minutes
Repeat Above Step & Open Any Door RAP Circuits De-Energize
