  2. Install drive and shaft assembly into drive end housing. Use screwdriver to gently guide shift lever fingers over shift collar pins on drive assembly.
  3. WARNING: Field frame magnets have strong attraction to armature. Keep fingers clear of pinch points to avoid personal injury.
  4. Install shield to gear reduction assembly, then field frame and armature to drive end housing. Instal gear on end of armature shaft must engage with planetary gears in drive end shaft assembly.
  5. With brush springs pulled to side of brushes to hold in retracted position, install brush holder assembly to commutator on armature. Release brushes and place springs on ends of brushes. Assure that brushes are free to move in brush holder and are in contact with commutator.
  6. Install commutator end bearing to armature by pressing inner rail onto shaft. Bearing should rest against shoulder on shaft.
  7. Install commutator end frame to brush holder assembly using screws. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Install through bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
