Power Mirror System Check

  1. With mirror select switch in LH position, operate in LEFT, RIGHT, UP & DOWN positions. Set mirror select switch to RH position and repeat procedure. If all switch positions do not operate mirror in appropriate directions, see LEFT/RIGHT MIRROR INOPERATIVE IN LEFT/RIGHT POSITION (NO DTCS SET), ONE MIRROR INOPERATIVE (NO DTC'S SET)  , or LEFT/RIGHT MIRROR INOPERATIVE IN UP/DOWN POSITION (NO DTC'S SET). 
  2. Press REAR DEFOG button. If both outside mirrors do not heat up, see DEFOGGER SYSTEM TESTS in REAR WINDOW & MIRROR DEFOGGER article.
  3. For Japan models only, place power mirror switch in LH position. Press express fold button on mirror switch. LH mirror should retract. Press switch again, and mirror should extend. Repeat procedure for RH mirror. If both mirrors do not operate as specified, see procedures in MIRROR FOLDING INOPERATIVE (JAPAN MODELS)  .
