Charge Indicator Inoperative
- Check battery. Charge or replace as necessary. Go to next step.
- Disconnect generator connector. Connect a jumper wire between harness connector terminal "L" (Red wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. If indicator is not on, go to next step. If indicator is on, go to step 5.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C1. Attach a fused jumper wire between harness connector C1 terminal A9 (Red wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. If indicator is on, go to next step. If indicator is not on, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reconnect all connectors and recheck system.
- Check harness connector C1 terminal A9 for poor connection. Repair as necessary. Check Red wire between generator and instrument panel for open circuit. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace generator. See GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system.
- Check generator connector terminal "L" for poor connection. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace generator. See GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system.
