Vehicle Feature Programming

Operation of vehicle features can be programmed to operate as desired by driver using the Driver's Information Center (DIC). On all vehicles, some features have been programmed into memory but can be modified to suit particular needs. Features that are programmed are A/C-heater control panel settings, radio presets, Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) operation, exterior lighting operation with RKE and automatic door locks. On models equipped with personalization feature (memory system), seat, steering wheel and mirror positions can be stored.

To enter feature programming on all models, ensure ignition is on and vehicle is in Park. If vehicle is equipped with personalization feature, press memory button No. 1 or 2 to program for desired driver. DIC will display "1" or "2" depending on button selected. On all models, press INFO button one or more times until FEATURE PROGRAMMING is displayed on DIC. Press ON/OFF button to enter feature programming. After programming or if programming needs to be cancelled, press INFO RESET button to exit.

After entering feature programming mode, description and procedures for programming all vehicles are as follow:

• LIGHTS FLASH AT UNLOCK
  
  Parking lights will flash 2 times when unlock button on transmitter is pressed if all doors are closed. Press down arrow on INFO button until LIGHTS FLASH AT UNLOCK is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• LIGHTS FLASH AT LOCK
  
  Parking lights will flash once when lock button on transmitter is pressed if all doors are closed. Press down arrow on INFO button until LIGHTS FLASH AT LOCK is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• HORN SOUNDS AT LOCK
  
  Horns will sound once when lock button on transmitter is pressed if all doors are closed. Press down arrow on INFO button until HORN SOUNDS AT LOCK is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• EXTERIOR LIGHTS AT UNLOCK
  
  Ambient light sensor will monitor conditions. If conditions are dark enough, when unlock button on transmitter is pressed, parking lights, high beams, taillights, reverse lights and all interior lights will come on for about 20 seconds, until a door is opened or lock button on transmitter is pressed. Press down arrow on INFO button until EXT LIGHTS AT UNLOCK is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• DOORS LOCK IN GEAR
  
  When all doors are closed, ignition is on and vehicle is shifted out of Park position, all doors will lock. Press down arrow on INFO button until DOORS LOCK IN GEAR is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• DRIVER UNLOCK IN PARK (P)
  
  When all doors are closed, ignition is on and vehicle is shifted into Park position, driver's door will unlock. Press down arrow on INFO button until DRIVER UNLOCK IN PARK (P) is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• DRIVER UNLOCK KEY OFF
  
  When ignition is turned off, driver's door will unlock. Press down arrow on INFO button until DRIVER UNLOCK KEY OFF is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• DOORS UNLOCK IN PARK (P)
  
  When all doors are closed, ignition is on and vehicle is shifted into Park position, all doors will unlock. Press down arrow on INFO button until DOORS UNLOCK IN PARK (P) is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• DOORS UNLOCK KEY OFF
  
  When ignition is turned off, all doors will unlock. Press down arrow on INFO button until DOORS UNLOCK KEY OFF is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.

Description and procedures for programming vehicles equipped with personalization feature are as follow:

• REMOTE RECALL MEMORY
  
  Seat and mirror memory settings can be recalled by pressing unlock button on transmitter. Steering column will move to stored position when ignition key is inserted and turned on. Press down arrow on INFO button until REMOTE RECALL MEMORY is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• KEY IN RECALL MEMORY
  
  Seat and mirror memory settings will be recalled when ignition key is inserted. Steering column will move to stored position when ignition is turned on. Press down arrow on INFO button until KEY IN RECALL MEMORY is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• AUTO EXIT SEAT
  
  Seat will move to exit position when ignition key is turned off and driver's door is opened. Press down arrow on INFO button until AUTO EXIT SEAT is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• AUTO EXIT STEERING WHEEL
  
  Steering wheel will move to exit position when ignition key is turned off and driver's door is opened. Press down arrow on INFO button until AUTO EXIT STEERING WHEEL is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• MIRROR TO CURB IN REVERSE
  
  Passenger's mirror will move down to show curb when shifter is placed in Reverse with ignition on. Press down arrow on INFO button until MIRROR TO CURB IN REV is displayed. Press ON/OFF button to turn feature on or off.
• DRIVER'S NAMES SET/RECALL
  
  Indicates which remote button on transmitter will recall memory setting for driver No. 1 or 2 as indicated by memory switch. When memory button or transmitter button is pressed, corresponding driver position will be displayed on DIC. After entering feature programming mode, press ON/OFF button to display DRIVER NO 1 and DRIVER NO 2 and corresponding transmitter buttons.
