Transmitter Synchronization

Resynchronization may be necessary due to security methods used by Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system. Transmitters do not send the same signal twice. Reasons for resynchronization are as follows:

• Transmitter battery is very weak.
• Transmitter battery is changed.
• Vehicle battery is very weak.
• Vehicle battery has been in a state of low or no charge for an extended amount of time.

To resynchronize transmitter to Body Control Module (BCM), stand within 5 feet of vehicle. Simultaneously press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on transmitter for 7 seconds, then release. Door locks will cycle to confirm resynchronization.
