Instrument Panel Module
The Instrument Panel Module (IPM) is part of the A/C-heater control panel located in center of the instrument panel, above radio. See Fig 1. IPM controlled functions include any class 2 communication requiring IPM interaction, front Heater Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) air delivery, temperature controls and sensor inputs, ambient light sensor input/twilight delay input for headlights control, foglight switch inputs, instrument panel dimmer switch input, traction control switch input, interior lights switch input, hazard switch input, ignition switch headlight control, key in ignition switch input from ignition switch, fuel door/rear compartment lid release switch input, 54 volt vacuum fluorescent display and Heads Up Display (HUD).
