Rear Integration Module

The Rear Integration Module (RIM) is located in right rear of passenger compartment, behind rear seat back, attached to bay board. See Fig 1. RIM controlled functions include any class 2 communication requiring RIM interaction, fuel level sensor input, heated seat controls, Heater Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) blower control, electronic suspension, rear defogger control, park brake relay controls, various controls for interior lights, reverse control for backup lights and park assist chime control, fuel door and rear compartment lid release controls, cigarette lighter relay control, lock cylinder relay control, transmission shift inhibit control, Retained Accessory Power (RAP) control for sunroof control module, ajar and tamper switch inputs from rear compartment lid and vehicle anti-theft system.
