Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2004 GMC Yukon XL, 2004 GMC Yukon, 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2004 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the module to the vehicle.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Loosely install the 9 bolts retaining the module to the roof.

    Use a drill bit to align the 2 holes A and B.

    Tighten:  Tighten the 9 bolts in the sequence shown to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Install the drain hoses. Refer to Sunroof Drain Hose Replacement - Front  and Sunroof Drain Hose Replacement - Rear .
  5. Install the sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the finishing lace. Refer to Sunroof Finishing Lace Replacement .
  8. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
  9. Synchronize the sunroof motor if necessary. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Synchronization .
