Removal Procedure

- The old sunroof window and sunshade will need to be installed to the new sunroof module assembly.
Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
- Remove the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Panel Replacement .
- Remove the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Cut the electrical tape (5) on the sunroof actuator in order to access the electrical harness.
- Disconnect the electrical connector on the sunroof actuator (3).
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof module (1).
- Cut the tie straps securing the electrical harness to the sunroof cable rear drive tube.
- Remove the sunroof control module.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the control module.
- Disconnect the drain hoses from the front sunroof module drain spouts (1).
- Disconnect the drain hoses from the rear sunroof module drain spouts.
- Remove the sunroof module to the roof bolts (1).
- Remove the 2 center, side to side, bolts last in order to help support the sunroof module to the roof ring.
- Remove the last 2 sunroof to roof ring bolts.
- With an assistant, lower and remove the sunroof module assembly out the passenger side door.
IMPORTANT:
A new sunroof module assembly will not have the sunroof window or the sunshade as components of the new service part.
