Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the screw securing the resonator to the powertrain control module (PCM) housing.
  2. Disengage the air cleaner cover latches.
  3. Gently pull upward to remove the air resonator (3) and element cover from the air cleaner housing.
  4. Disconnect the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor electrical connector (1).
  5. Remove the air cleaner element.
  6. Remove any loose debris that may be found laying in the base of the air cleaner.
