Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Loosen the clamp connecting the intake air duct to the throttle body.
  3. Disconnect the intake air from the throttle body.
  4. Disengage the air cleaner cover retainers.
  5. Remove the air cleaner cover.
    6. IMPORTANT: Inspect the air cleaner housing assembly for damage. If a problem is found, replace as necessary.
  6. Remove the air filter element.
