Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
    3. Fig 1: Trailer Brake Control Module & Mounting Bolts

  3. Disconnect the trailer brake control module electrical connector.
    4. NOTE: It is not necessary to completely remove the bolts.
  4. Loosen, but do not remove, the trailer brake control module bolts (1).

  5. Slide the trailer brake control module (1) rearward and remove the trailer brake control module.
