Brake Warning Light

  1. Disconnect connector from switch. Connect switch terminal and body ground. Turn ignition or starter switch to "ON" position. Check that bulb lights. If not, remove and test bulb.
  2. Inspect brake fluid level warning switch operation when switch is OFF (float up) and when switch is ON (float down). If operation is not correct, replace switch.
  3. Inspect parking brake switch operation. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminal and screw hole (ground) with parking brake pulled and no continuity with parking brake returned. If operation is not correct, replace switch.
