Brake Fluid Warning Indicator: Notes
- Brake fluid level warning indicator circuit consists of a brake fluid level switch, warning lamp and a parking brake switch which indicates parking brake application. See Fig 1 .
- When engine is stopped and ignition switch on, warning lamp comes on regardless of brake fluid position and parking brake operation. This is because contact points within the alternator voltage regulator are closed so that White/Red lead wire is grounded.
- After engine is started (alternator charging), release parking brake. If lamp goes off, brake fluid level is adequate.
