Headlamp Switch
- To check headlamp switch, remove switch from dash panel. Using an ohmmeter, measure continuity between terminals as follows.
- When headlamp switch off, there should be no continuity between terminals. When switch is in parking lamp position, continuity should exist between White/Yellow and Orange terminals. When switch is in "ON" position, continuity should exist between White/Yellow and Orange terminals, and Green/Black and Black terminals.
- To check rheostat in switch, remove switch from dash panel and connect it to battery as follows.
- Battery positive (+) to B terminal of switch. Battery negative (-) to E terminal of switch. Connect a test lamp (12 volts, 3 or 4 amps) between terminal L and battery positive (+) terminal. See Fig 1 . Turning switch clockwise, lamp should brighten, turned counterclockwise, lamp should dim.
