Mixture Control Solenoid Valve

  1. Remove duty check connector cap and short the terminals with a lead wire. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on and off repeatedly without starting engine.
  2. Using finger, touch carburetor body near Mixture Control Solenoid (MCS) valve and make sure carburetor makes small vibrations according to ignition switch operation.
  3. Vibrations from MCS indicate proper operation. If there are no vibrations, replace MCS in carburetor.
