Ignition System: Testing: Module
Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug. Hold about 1/2" (12.7 mm) from a good ground using a pair of insulated pliers. If model is equipped with a 4A-GE engine, crank engine a maximum of 1-2 seconds at a time and check for good spark. If model is equipped with a 4A-LC engine, crank engine and check for good spark. If there no spark, check go to POWER SOURCE LINE VOLTAGE test. If spark is weak, check resistance of spark plug wires. Maximum resistance is 25,000 ohms. If plug wires are okay, check ignition coil for proper operation.
