Diagnostic Code Output: Notes

The ECU stores component failure information for the GMCCS under a related trouble code which can be recalled for diagnosis and repair. A malfunction is indicated by the "CHECK ENGINE" warning light blinking a number of times equal to the malfunction code indication, with a 2.5 second delay between each indication.

The diagnostic code series will be repeated as long as the engine check connector terminals T - E1 are shorted. See Figure . In the event of a number of trouble codes, indication will begin from the smaller value and continue in order to the larger value.
