Fuel Pump Relay

  1. If fuel pump will not run, remove fuel pump relay and main relay from bracket on right strut tower.
    NOTE: Fuel pump and main relay are identical. Identify fuel pump relay by wire color code of Pink, Pink/White, White/Blue and White/Blue. Main relay wire color code is Black, Black/White, White/Blue, and White/Green.
  2. Turn ignition on and ensure battery voltage is present at White/Green main relay connector. Using a jumper wire, short across White/Green main relay harness terminal to Pink harness terminal of fuel pump relay. If fuel pump runs, replace fuel pump relay. If fuel pump does not run, repair or replace wiring or fuel pump.
